Reno Love is where we go out and BE the church. It’s about serving our community in a way that points to Jesus. We love our city, we really do. Scroll down to see what we’ve been up to this summer and what it has to do with our BIG Reno Love Day on August 25th!
Reno Love Day Details
We’re spreading the love to ALL of Reno by cleaning up our neighborhoods! For this year’s Reno Love Day, we’re going to serve our neighbors and show them the love of Jesus by getting our hands dirty! This summer, we’ve been focusing on our neighbors, meeting and loving them, and now we get to serve them!
- Start the day by coming to church (normal services at 9, 11 & 6)!
- Then, go out and BE the church! You choose your project!
- We’re asking you to serve at least 2 hours.
- Sign up for your project by clicking here.
- Scroll down to find out why it’s important to sign up!
A couple other things to note:
Serving is fun with friends! Invite your friends or Home Group to jump in a project with you. Click the link below to sign everyone up for the project.
Don’t have a project in mind? We’ll have an Idea Table on Sunday, August 25 in the Foyer to help!
Be sure to wear your Reno Love Shirt! They’re $10. We’ll have some at Grace. (If money’s a problem, just say ’show me the love’ and we’ll give you one!)
Why is it important to sign up?
We have relationship with the city and when they know how many hours we’ve volunteered, it points people to Jesus. It shows we love Reno and puts our love into action by serving. Also, those volunteer hours can help with funding requests for our ministry partners.
Need project ideas?
Think about chores you don’t like to do for yourself. Do them for someone else! Here are some practical ways you can serve your neighbors and your neighborhood!
- Pick up trash or pull weeds on your street or nearby park.
- Make a dump run for your neighbor and help them load up.
- Repair your neighbors fence.
- Purchase backpacks, fill with hygiene products and give to people who need them.
- Pick up trash in your neighborhood where it collects. Notice freeway onramps and off-ramps around town and consider cleaning up one of those if you can do so safely.
- Clean up parks near you! Here are some locations around Northwest Reno:

Some of the best conversations happen while sitting around a fire. If you have a firepit, invite your neighbors to join you one evening! Sit down and get to know them.
Hot August SUnday
On August 4th, we’ll have classic cars on the Patio at Grace before and after services! Invite your neighbor to come for a hot dog, check out some sweet rides, and enjoy a great service (we’ll be baptizing people during service!) Invite your neighbors now so they can save the date!
What’s Reno Love?
Reno Love was born out of wanting to serve our city in tangible ways, all for the sake of pointing people to Jesus. It all started in 2019 when hundreds of people showed up at Idlewild Park to BE the church. Since then, we’ve cleaned parks, schools and neighborhoods all over the city. The people of Grace have bought thousands of pairs of brand new shoes to people who really need them. No questions asked. Through Reno Love, we’ve been able to make an impact. Together.
